2025 Club Championships

It was the toughest conditions in memory for the final round of the championships on Sunday. Wet and windy conditions with the threat of thunderstorms had everyone scrambling for the wet weather gear. Warwick Newman went into the final round with a one shot lead and won by four shots from two time champion Kirk Ardley. It was Warwick’s first championship win and much deserved.Kacey Heywood won her third straight Ladies championship with a dominant performance over the three rounds.
Simon Reid led from start to finish in the B Grade event with Karen Slater taking control of the Bronze 1 division with a superb second round.
Craig Bessell was a big winner in the C Grade after establishing a handy lead in round one. Susan Dwyer won Bronze 2 by two shots over Barb Duke.
Youngster Tyler Jardine came from behind to win the Men’s D Grade by eleven shots and Trish Williams edged out Suzan Hutton for the Bronze 3 title.
Anna Docking and David Pearson were the winners of the Senior Women’s and Men’s events.
Eden Thomson, Tyler Jardine, Hunter Reid and Liam Beasley are the four qualifiers for the Reg Taylor Memorial Junior Championship. Eden will play Tyler and Hunter will play Liam in match-play and the winners will play off for the title.
